Brandon-Arthur-Lucas-Oil-Utah-6-25-15

Tooele, UT – After landing on the podium in Lake Elsinore, Brandon Arthur was right back up on the box when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series travelled to Tooele, Utah. Racers covet speed and pray for luck but the most sought after attribute would have to be consistency. Consistency wins races and builds the foundation for a championship. In rounds 7 and 8, Brandon was perfectly consistent. He finished second place in both rounds.

Brandon’s performance is attributed to his talent behind the wheel and great support from Competitive Metals, Pro Traffic Services, Rigid Industries LED Lighting, Toyo Tires, HRT Motorsports, Method Race Wheels, Magnaflow, Aeromotive Fuel Systems, F&L Racing Fuel, Impact, FOX shocks, Heatshield Products, Maxima Racing Oils, Summers Brothers, Wirefab, ECP Powder Coating, Bink Designs and Redline Performance. He also relies on strong support from his crew and his parents. His Dad Todd got a great Father’s day gift; watching his son compete with the best drivers in Pro Lite.

“I’m a super proud Dad,” said Todd Arthur, “Since Brandon was small, we would build cars together in the shop. We are a tight-knit family and working in the shop lets us spend time together.”

Brandon gets up at 3 am to get to his school in Rancho Cucamonga by 5 am. He gets back home around 2 pm and we work together until 7 or 8 at night. Brandon and I built his Trophy Truck and his Pro Lite truck in our shop, HRT Motorsports. It takes a lot of work but he is doing what he loves; racing does not come easy. We have been working to get the new truck dialed in and Brandon has made a tremendous improvement as a driver. It feels really good getting on the box.”

“On Saturday, we qualified 2nd in our group,” says Brandon, “That put us outside the front row. I was battling with Ryan Beat for the lead. After a couple of laps, we pulled away from him. I led all the way until lap 10 then we had a caution. After the re-start, I left the door open and Jarrett Brooks slipped past me for the lead when my roof panel came loose and covered the windshield opening. For the last three laps, I could barely see. I kept digging and finished second.”

“For Sunday, we qualified 4th in our group which put us inside on the fourth row. I had a really good start, made some moves and came out of lap 1 in 5th place. I made the pass for 4th on lap 2, then 3rd on lap 3. I was running down Ryan Beat when he broke. That put us in 2nd place behind RJ Anderson. I battled for the rest of the race with RJ but could not get around him. We had our second podium of the weekend.” (Brandon ran the fastest lap of the race on lap 6 when Ryan Beat dropped out and he took off after RJ.) “It was a great weekend for our team. We finally caught some luck and came home with two solid podium finishes. The truck was fast this weekend. It was a great weekend to have with my dad for Father’s Day!”

Brandon heads back to Glen Helen Raceway for rounds 9 and 10 July 18-19. For the latest news about Brandon’s results in the Lucas Oil Series and select off-road racing events go to:  http://brandonarthurracing.com/.
