Lake Elsinore, CA – Brian Deegan continues to heat up as the 2015 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Season progresses. Missing the first two rounds due to injury has given the reigning Pro-2 champion a sense of urgency every time he hits the track. Playing catch-up to the rest of the field, he has wasted no time. He was right back on the podium in his Rockstar Energy / Makita Power Tools Ford with a second place finish during his first Pro-2 race of the year at Wild Horse Motorsports Park.

When the series returned to Lake Elsinore for rounds 5 and 6, he had another solid weekend on his home town track. In round 5 on Saturday, he had a pair of solid top five finishes with a 4th place in the new Rockstar Energy / Makita Power Tools Ford Pro-4 and another 4th place in his Pro-2.

With speed in the tank and points in the bank, Deegan was ready to take charge in round 6. After getting a good start in his Rockstar Energy / Makita Power Tools Ford Pro-4, he was up front with the points leader battling for a win. The new Pro-4 was running on rails until lap 8 when a mechanical failure sidelined Deegan with a DNF, (did not finish). “The truck was really fast, it felt great to be running up front,” said Deegan, “It’s fast, we proved that. It just needs a few bugs worked out.”

By the time the Pro-2 race was run, Deegan’s momentum was at full force. He started on row 2 and quickly moved into second place. This time instead of bowing out on lap 8, he put the #38 Rockstar Energy / Makita Power Tools Ford into the lead on lap 8. Once out front he was in total control, holding off Anderson, Menzies and MacCachren who were left to fight over second place.

In only two weekends of racing, Brian Deegan has made a steady climb to the top and plans to stay there when racing resumes June 20-21 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT.
