Warn-Industries-Logo-5-29-13CLACKAMAS, OR – Laurel R. Smith has been named Vice President of Marketing for Warn Industries, Inc.  In that position, she will bring impressive experience in enthusiast product marketing as well as a history of successful product development and launches.

“We’re very fortunate to have a talented marketing person such as Laurel join the Warn team,” said John Stransky, president of Warn.  “She is a great fit for us, and Warn customers should benefit greatly from her background in developing products and marketing programs for enthusiasts of consumer products.”

Smith said that “Warn has a long history of leading the market with innovative products that excite customers.  I am thrilled to be joining the team and to become part of that legacy,” she added.

Smith most recently was Director of Brand Marketing for Smith & Wesson, where she was instrumental in the development of marketing plans and the use of extensive consumer metrics for evaluation and allocation of marketing direction. Prior to that, she worked with Easton-Bell Sports as a category manager at Easton Baseball Bats, and as the National Product Marketing Manager at Beretta USA.  She has also worked at adidas AMERICA in various  product marketing areas.

At Warn, Smith will have product management and marketing communications reporting to her.  She will have responsibility for the Warn brand and for engaging Warn’s off road enthusiasts.  Additionally, she will be responsible for developing product strategy and coordinating Warn’s advertising and promotion programs.  “I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen our brand and find new ways to connect with our customers and fans,,” she said.

Smith has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University.
