The Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 has long been known to be the toughest, longest, non-stop, point to point off-road race in the world; but what the world doesn’t know about the Baja 1000 is that the majority of this race is ran at night. Leading the charge by winning six classes, including three points classes, Baja Designs made quite the impact in this year’s SCORE championship, including the prestigious Trophy Truck class won by Steven Eugenio.

Steven Eugenio said, “Baja Designs has been on every race car I’ve ever had, because they’re the best and the best is what it takes to win.”

Cody Reid ran a near-perfect season to take the Class 10 Championship. “Thanks to Baja Designs, I can drive just as fast at night as I can during the day,” he said.

From the unlimited trucks to the brutal punishment of the limited’s in Class 11, Baja Designs lit the way. “We love our Baja Design lights!,” said Dennis Hollenbeck winner of Class 11. “Not only do they provide us with what we believe is the best in lighting, but they with stood the test during the Baja 1000. Two full nights of driving, one roll over, a bent light bar, but Baja Designs 30” Stealth—No problem. How does the light take a hit of a roll over, bend, but your lights are as good as new? Simply Amazing Baja Designs!”

Mike Johnson and team dominated Class 10 at the Baja 1000 taking the win with over an hour in hand. “I think if I had to describe the Baja designs lights with one word it would definitely be “Amazing”. This is the second race we have run there lights since partnering up and what a difference. I ran the Imperial Valley night race with them and I didn’t even have to run the top bar the lights where so good.  I didn’t run much of the night section in the 1000 but both Fletcher and Mike Majesky said the lights where fantastic. The coverage and depth you get out of them is truly amazing, It makes driving at night a pleasure.”

Baja Designs founder, owner, and lead engineer: Alan Roach piloted the first 600 miles of the 1275 mile race in the Mills Motorsports Trophy Truck Spec class #824, winning this race which lead to the overall championship. Overall Baja Designs had a great showing this year, with a successful run for many teams.
