IRVINE, Cal. – It might as well be a three-way tie as the GEICO/AMA EnduroCross Series head’s to Salt Lake City this weekend for the first time. Utah race fans couldn’t ask for more on the line. Energy Solutions Arena will be alive with high-intensity racing action when point’s co-leaders Colton Haaker and Taddy Blazusiak (tied at 117 points) take on Cody Webb (116 points) and the rest of the EnduroCross Expert racers on Saturday, October 11th.

Season So Far
The 2014 season has been one for the books. With five rounds down the 2014 GEICO/AMA EnduroCross Championship, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil, has enjoyed three different race winners and only two racers grabbing multiple wins.

It all started in Las Vegas where Beta/GEICO/Stillwell Performance-backed Cody Webb took his two-stroke Beta 300 to the top of the box in the season opener. The following X Games round saw five-time EnduroCross champion and Factory Red Bull KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak get his first race win of the year on his potent KTM 350 four-stroke. Next, we went to Sacramento, California where Rockstar/JCRHonda/Lucas Oil’s Colton Haaker took the win on his Honda CRF450R.

Blazusiak was the first two-time winner of the year when he took the Atlanta, Georgia round in August and Haaker followed suit last weekend, taking a convincing second win in Denver.

So, as we head into the Salt Lake City, Utah event this weekend EnduroCross has three race winners, racing three different brands and three wildly different machines. EnduroCross brings the action, for sure!

Haaker, Webb and Blazusiak are the clear favorites (none of the other big names have hit the podium this year). But let’s talk about those who haven’t won… yet.

Make plans to attend what could be the pivotal round in the championship race by getting your tickets now at www.EnduroCross.com/buy-tickets/.

Factory Husqvarna’s Mike Brown—who led the points during last season, collecting two wins early—is finally finding his groove on the new Husky. Brown set the fastest Hot Lap in Denver—smoking the field in the one-lap, all-out sprint. Factory FMF KTM Off-Road’s Taylor Robert is knocking on the podium at every round but hasn’t been able to crack the EnduroCross code yet. He’s riding with newfound aggression and we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s taking a win before the season is over. Don’t count out Geoff Aaron, Kyle Redmond, Max Gerston, Cory Graffunder and a host of others for a podium effort or race win, either. It’s EnduroCross. Anything can, and does, happen!
