IRVINE, Cal. – The N-Fab, AmPro Yamaha team has confirmed that Jordan Ashburn and Becca Sheets will compete at the upcoming Atlanta round of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship. And sister Yamaha team of Raines Riding University / Atlas Yamaha has confirmed that Ricky Russell will also be racing.

The first EnduroCross on the East Coast of the U.S. in several years is taking place during the summer break for the GNCC series so these riders are taking the opportunity to see how they stack up against the EnduroCross regulars. The event that will take place inside the air-conditioned Gwinnett Center on Saturday, August 23rd.

“Ricky Russell competed in several EnduroCross races as he was coming up so it will be great to see how much he has matured over the past few years competing in the GNCC series,” said Mike Karsting, VP of events for TEN, the producers of the EnduroCross Championship. “Jordan has proven to be a great young rider so we look forward to seeing how he does and Becca Sheets will add some excitement to the women’s class”.

The Atlanta round, hosted at the air-conditioned Gwinnett Center on Saturday, August 23rd, is the first EnduroCross to visit the East Coast of the U.S. since 2009 and with the event taking place during the summer break for the GNCC and National Enduro Championships, the Atlanta event will provide a welcome opportunity to race.

Not a pro and think you can tame the EnduroCross obstacles? Then come on out and compete in the Open Amateur, Vet 35+ or TrialsCross classes. EnduroCross veteran Destry Abbott will host a “Rookies” training session on Friday night before the event to provide one hour of track time and tips for riders that have never raced an EnduroCross.
