Dunlop-12-7-11Buffalo, NY: Dunlop announces today that TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed will finish out his season without Dunlop support. Reed will be released from his Dunlop contract to pursue an opportunity to expand his relationship with TwoTwo Motorsports’ primary sponsor.

“Dunlop always encourages the expansion of our sport, especially in the case of a sponsor from outside the motorcycle industry who has the ability to put motorcycle racing in front of a larger audience,” said Mike Buckley, senior vice president of sales, marketing and R&D. “Chad is a great competitor, and we wish him well for the 2014 season.”

As the Official Tire of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Dunlop supports the vast majority of factory and privateer motocross teams in 2014. For the past four years, Dunlop-sponsored riders have dominated both the 250 and 450 Motocross series championships. Last year, pre-production versions of the production Dunlop Geomax® MX32™ and MX52™ front and rear tires were used an astounding 62 times by the overall race winners in AMA Pro Supercross and Motocross events. In 2014, every 450 and 250 Supercross main event was won by Dunlop Geomax MX32 or MX52 race tires—amazing results for tires now available to the public.
