Rocky-Mountain-ATV-MX-Off-Road-5-28-13Payson, UT – The Ponca City AMA MX Championship, the second round of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Motocross League of America presented by Fly Racing, will be held July 20-24. A popular event at a historically significant venue, the Ponca City MX Championship will be a sure-fire hit for amateur motocross racers from around the country.

The Ponca City MX Championship will be held at Jack Blevins Motocross Park, a well-known track that has hosted noteworthy motocross championships for nearly 40 years – a tradition that will certainly carry on well into the future. It began life as a simple riding location for locals, but it was built into a premier motocross track many decades ago. A number of improvements have gone into the course over its lifetime, including a complete renovation several years ago when RPM Sports took over promotion. The track is designed to provide exciting obstacles that challenge racers’ skills without extending beyond the realms of reasonable safety.

“We’ve been a part of this industry for a long time,” said Dan Thomas, CEO of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “It is a great privilege for us to sponsor an event that has equally deep roots. We love being able to give back to the amateur racing community in this manner as a way of saying thanks for supporting us throughout the years.”

Ponca City has traditionally been a favorite stop for amateurs on their way to Loretta Lynn’s in Tennessee the following week. This strategic positioning allows the Ponca City MX Championship to attract some of the best amateur racers in the country for its event.
