– Team All German Motorsports (AGM) and their Jimco X6 trophy truck are back at the race shop after a long week of hard work, high hopes and dedication.  It’s no secret that the All German Motorsports team is one of the most passionate teams in off-road racing.  A team of all volunteers, their relentless pursuit of perfecting the trophy truck, known in the off-road community as the “Desert Lizard,” is as vivid as the teams bright yellow and green livery.

Since the inception of the No.15 AGM/Jimco X6 trophy truck, team AGM has been testing and refining their outside of the box design, which has come with its own share setbacks and issues to iron out.  But for Team AGM, they know that what they have for a trophy truck is something unique and once it’s perfected, nothing will hold them back from performances like those of their Class 1 days.  AGM’s crew chief Bryan Lyttle said “It’s always frustrating to have a DNF, but these are just speed bumps in the road and it’s only a matter of time before we have the truck dialed-in and running strong.”

Upon arriving in Baja, the team separated into two groups and ran over a 1,000 miles of course recon. The entire week of pre-runnig was flawless with no issues along the rigorous and demanding terrain.  Co-driver’s Tyler and Bryan were able to compile a full course of detailed race notes.  Armin Schwarz quotes in a Race-Dezert.com interview, “…it was the best pre-run we’ve ever had.”  When it came time for qualifying, hot shoe Armin Schwarz and co-driver Bryan Lyttle performed as expected and landed a top-ten qualifying spot.  Everything was off to an awesome start, with the truck running in excellent condition and the BF Goodrich tires allowing for some hard charging, things couldn’t be better, everyone was in high hopes.  However, on race day, the luck would not continue as a mechanical failure forced the team to retire at the Race mile 95.  The exact cause of the failure has yet to be determined.  With that said, Team AGM is still proceeding as usual with the post race tear-down and inspection.  Preparation will continue as they set their sights on the upcoming Freedom 250 race on July 25th.
