2014-Tecate-SCORE-Baja-500-5-12-14SAN DIEGO — Andy McMilin and Quinn Cody, both accomplished champion SCORE desert racers will be in the SCORE spotlight on tonight’s SCORE Dirt LiveHD Internet show. Round 3 of the five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship—the 46th Tecate SCORE Baja 500—will be held this week in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, 86 miles south of the U.S. border at San Diego.

Celebrating its 41st season in 2014 as the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization, during tonight’s 22nd episode of the 2014 SCORE Dirt LiveHD season at 7 p.m. (PT) in addition to the interviews with SCORE champion racers McMillin and Cody, a special promo video will air for the next SCORE telecast on the CBS Sports Network.

ON CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR
This week’s Tecate SCORE Baja 500 will be televised on a delayed basis in the USA, Canada and U.S. Territories as a one-hour special on the CBS Sports Network. The show, being produced by SoCal’s acclaimed BCII TV, will air for one week on the CBS Sports Spectacular show with the initial airing at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Following a week of airing the CBS Sports Network telecasts, the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 show will air worldwide in over 100 countries through international distribution.

SCORE’s next international broadcast will be the show from April’s Inaugural SCORE Imperial Valley 250 which will air first at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 15 on the CBS Sports Network. Here is the link for the show promo:

With several million viewers in nearly 100 countries, the SCORE Dirt LiveHD one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored in 2014 around the five-race SCORE World Desert Championship.

A third-generation desert racer, McMillin, 27 of San Diego, won the recent SCORE Imperial Valley 250. He pinch hit for Rob MacCachren who was racing in a short-course series. McMillin, who won Class 1 in 2005 and SCORE Trophy Truck in 2011 in the SCORE Baja 500 racing with his father Scott McMillin, drove MacCachren’s No. 11 Rockstar Energy Ford F-150 in the Imperial race.

Cody, 37 of Los Olivos, Calif., is the motorcycle liaison for SCORE with the two-wheel competitors. Cody is a former factory rider for both Honda and KTM and won the SCORE Baja 500 on a Honda both in 2010 and 2011 riding with Kendall Norman.

The 2014 season of SCORE Dirt LiveHD includes numerous on-site interviews in addition to the shows that are broadcast from the SCORE broadcast studios in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

The high definition shows also includes numerous award-winning video highlight packages, most produced by Mexico’s Cactus Films or San Diego’s Tempt Media.

SCORE Dirt LiveHD also goes on-site live with expanded event coverage during SCORE events. Live event coverage in 2014 includes the entire five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship of two races in the United States and three in Baja California, Mexico.  The third round of the new SCORE World Desert Championship will be this week’s 46th annual Tecate SCORE Baja 500 that will start and finish in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

Desert racing public address announcer and former racer George Antill is the executive producer and host of the show along with periodic surprise guest hostesses including Miss Monster Energy Supercross Dianna Dahlgren. One of the regular elements of the show on a SCORE social media interchange, allowing fans and racers to comment and ask questions through the SCORE Facebook and SCORE Twitter platforms.  Another special segment most weeks is SCORE Tech Tips with SCORE Tech co-directors Jake Velasco or Art Savedra or SCORE Trophy Truck racer and prep-shop owner T.J. Flores.
