Dunlop-8-4-11Buffalo, NY: Dunlop wishes to congratulate Ryan Villopoto for wrapping up his fourth consecutive championship title, as well as Jason Anderson and Elite Team Dunlop alumni Justin Bogle for being crowned 250 class champions.

Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Villopoto is already noted as one of the most successful riders in the sport, but now joins the “King of Supercross” Jeremy McGrath as the only other rider in history to achieve four consecutive premier class titles. Despite the highs and lows of his season, and one of the deepest fields the 450 class has seen in years, Villopoto prevailed and to prove again he is a true champion. He piloted his Dunlop-sponsored KX450F to a total of seven victories this season, including Phoenix, Oakland, Daytona, Houston, his hometown of Seattle, East Rutherford and the series finale in Las Vegas.

In the Western Regional 250 Supercross competition, Rockstar KTM’s Jason Anderson triumphed over the competition, claiming four race wins en route to his first-career championship. Elite Team Dunlop alumni Justin Bogle won the Eastern Regional 250 Supercross championship and propelled his GEICO Honda CRF250R to two victories in the process.

This is the fifth year in a row that Dunlop-sponsored riders won every main event and swept all three Supercross championships.  These sponsored riders were on the podium an impressive 107 of the 108 available podium positions. The Geomax® MX32™ tires were the preferred tires for podium winners throughout the 2014 Supercross season.
