Set-Them-Free-Off-Road-5-6-14Set Them Free, a Castle Rock, Colo.-based non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and support of human trafficking victims, is hosting a weekend 4×4 event to stamp out the commercial exploitation of men, women and children. The event will take place in Buena Vista, Colorado, from Friday, June 27th, to Sunday, June 29th. Participants can register online at the website below.

The proceeds from the event will fund the rescue and restoration of the victims of human trafficking via Set Them Free, a local non-profit organization.

NEED:
Human trafficking is the illegal trade in human beings for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation or forced labor. Around the world, 1.2 million children are trafficked each year, 17,500 in the United States. In 2012, nearly 50 commercially exploited children were identified and rescued in the Denver metropolitan area. Set Them Free’s mission is to provide necessary support and resources for trafficking survivors. Its goal for the 2014 off-road event is to raise $30,000 to help save lives and increase awareness.
