Continuing the impressive entry list growth for 2014, as of April 22nd, 204 teams have already signed up, with more than  220 expected by race day for the next Best in the Desert  Canidae Tap It Silver State “300” set for May 2-4, 2014.

Many of the world’s leading off-road dynamos are headed to challenge this tough course. In Trick Truck, watch for Jason Voss, Steve Olliges’, TJ Flores (last year’s overall winner), Josh Daniel, Steve Strobel and Scott Whipple (who also happens to be the race  sponsor, Canidae).

In Class 1500: Jon Walker, Corey Keysar, Sam Baldi, Sam Berri, Ray Griffith, Harley Letner and NASCAR Truck competitor Justin Lofton.

The 2013 and 2012 race featured extremely tight and competitive overall finishes. Last year, only one minute and 21 seconds separated the top two spots.  The 2012 event turned into a 300-mile long drag race where the top three finishers were separated by a mere 34-seconds. This is not only a great race to experience, but also a great event to bring the entire family to. Best In The Desert racing is about creating memories and the Canidae Tap It Silver State “300” will definitely live up to your wildest expectations.  The Canidae Tap It Silver State “300” is a grand event, not just another great desert race!

$150,000 Trick Truck Challenge Dollars Up for Grabs
Participating racers have been sharing the wealth in 2014. Trick Truck Challenge bonus earnings to date, nine different drivers have staked their claim on an extra $48,000. Here are the recipients of the bonus payout for the first two races:

Racers and teams gathered the weekend of March 19th and 20th to check out the Silver State “300” course including the new section in the escorted pre-fun run. The Canidae Tap It Silver State “300” is open to all Best In The Desert car, truck, motorcycle, ATV and UTV classes.

Registration, Contingency and Tech Inspection will be held on Friday, May 2, at the Aliante Hotel parking lot in North Las Vegas. Here, fans will be able to check out millions of dollars worth of race vehicles as well as the latest off-road parts and accessories on display.

The 2014 Canidae Tap It Silver State “300” will get under way at 6:00 AM Saturday morning, May 3rd, when the first pro motorcycle leaves the line. The car and truck classes will follow, as they take the green flag at 9:30 AM. Best in the Desert has again worked closely with the Bureau of Land Management to develop a course with minimal impact to the natural environment. The start line is 15 miles north of Alamo, approximately 120 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The finish line area is located about 25 miles east of the town of Caliente.
