XVENTURE TRAILER
The Xventure Off-Road Trailer from Schutt Industries is an overland trailer designed to tackle the trails with your off-road Jeep, truck or SUV. Featuring weld-less aluminum construction and utilizing the company’s patented Alcoa Huck Bolt system, Schutt Industries explains the design is more rigid and sturdy compared to traditional welded units and it less prone to vibration fatigue on the trail. The fully customizable trailers, which were originally designed for military use, feature a full-size cargo bed (large enough to haul an ATV), spray-in bed liner and undercoating, electric brakes instead of hydraulic, a removable tailgate, large front storage cabinet, torsion suspension axle system and more. There are a variety of optional features, such as a pullout canopy for shade over the chef’s gallery, a variety of tent options, and even the option for solar-panel power. The unit the company displayed at EJS runs in the low $20,000s, with the base trailer starting at around $11,000. NEMESIS INDUSTRIES ALUMINUM JEEP JK ARMOR
Nemesis Industries launched new aluminum front and rear bumpers for the Jeep JK during Moab EJS. The company also released a new rocker that incorporates steps into the design. In addition to the new body armor, an aluminum light bar was developed to mount five off-road lights or an LED light bar. All these new JK products are constructed from quality 3/16″ aluminum sheet, formed by a CNC press brake using proprietary tooling. The parts are then welded and metal finished providing a seamless finish. We were told that this new line of Nemesis Industries Jeep JK aluminum armor will be available for sale in mid-2014. KC HILITES C SERIES LIGHT BARS
The KC HiLites JK at Easter Jeep Safari is displaying a number of its new C Series LED Light Bars, which comes in a range from 10-inch to 50-inch. The C Series light bars are designed to withstand serious abuse on the trail. KC says the LED lift on its C Series Light Bars is 50,000 hours. The housing is constructed of extruded aluminum, while the light bracket itself is a black-powder-coated steel that is designed to easily mount to factory bolt locations. With on-board thermal management to protect from overheating and waterproof connectors, the C Series LED light bar for the JK is designed to last. Shown on the front bumper of the JK is the 20-inch unit, which puts out 7,560 Lumens. The 30-inch LED bar found on the hood has an output of 11,760 Lumens, while the 50-inch lightbar mounted to the roof of the JK puts out 20,160 Lumens.
