Corona, CA – The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series presented by Kartek is proud to welcome ThyssenKrupp Materials to its family of sponsors. ThyssenKrupp is a major supplier of aluminum and other products to the off road racing industry.
ThyssenKrupp Materials will sponsor the action packed Pro Lite Class as they compete for the $5,000 year-end purse supplied by Thyssen Krupp and Loanmart. For the first time at the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, the Pro Lite class will be scored separately and racing for the year-end ThyssenKrupp Materials Pro Lite Class Championship. The top five racers in the class will split a total purse of $5,000. The racers must run 5 of the 7 regional races in order to qualify for a chance to win part of the pot.

The Pro Lite class will bring exciting battles as more of the young guns step up to compete in the class. 2014 is expected to bring some of the national series’ top Mod Kart drivers to the Pro Lite division as Brock Heger, Scotty Steele, Myles Cheek, Gavin Harlien, and Jeff Hoffman step up and work to develop their driving skills in this fast-paced talent filled class. Many veteran Pro Lite drivers compete at the regional series as well to gain additional seat time and dial in their programs in between national events.
To catch round 1 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series be sure to head out to Glen Helen Raceway February 15th. Qualifying starts at 9:45 am and racing action starts at 12:45 pm. Gate Fee is only $10.

About the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series
The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series was launched in 2010 and was incorporated into Lucas Oil’s extensive family of motorsports racing series. Acting as a purposeful feeder program to grow new and young talent, the regional off road series is a perfect complement to the hugely successful Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. The goal of the regional series has been achieved by bringing affordable grassroots short course racing to fans, sponsors and racers in and around the South West.
