– Arie Luyendyk Jr. will return to compete in the nations premier  short-course, off-road racing series, TORC: The Off-Road Championship, in 2014 beginning with the season opener April 5-6 in Primm, Nev. The popular star from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” brings his winning personality and style to the track for his second season of TORC competition. He also brings a legacy of motorsports achievements to competition on the short course.

Luyendyk will be racing in the #25 PRO-2 truck with the Aero Motorsports team and his newly announced title sponsor, GUNK, the industry leader in the engine cleaning and degreasing category. Having made the switch to off-road racing from road racing, he finished the 2013 TORC season with fourth- and sixth-place finishes for the team.

“I cant express how excited I am to climb back into a truck and compete in my first full season of TORC,” said Luyendyk. “This year will be exciting because its my first taste of the 900+ Horsepower PRO-2 truck. Im definitely up for the challenge!”

The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based driver has competed in four seasons of Indy Lights, where he finished second, third and fourth in the Championship on the strength of one win, four pole positions and thirteen podium finishes. He was named “Most Popular Driver” for four consecutive years. Luyendyk has also competed in sport car racing with a Daytona Prototype in the 24 Hours of Daytona and in the GT2 class in the 12 Hours of Sebring, and he has one Indianapolis 500 start to his credit.
