– Demeny Racing finished out the 2013 TORC Sportsman season just missing out on the team’s first career championship. The Nsight Telservices /Cellcom /E3 Spark Plugs /Cooper Tires RAM Super Stock Truck led the points championship heading into the final weekend of racing only to finish third in the Super Stock Truck Championship. The efforts of the team didn’t go unnoticed as Demeny Racing was voted by its peers, Midwest Off-Road Racing (MORR) Team of the Year at the 2013 MORR TORC Sportsman Banquet this past weekend in Appleton, Wisconsin.

“Our team begins each year just after News Years Day tearing down the truck for initial inspection,” noted team owner and Drivers Don Demeny. “Then we replace components that are at their service limits, and then we go to work on truck improvements for the upcoming season. It’s truly a team effort as my dad, really puts the hours in all year, as well as Randy, Jesse, Marv, and Jim. We just missed the championship this year, but it’s great to know our effort didn’t go unnoticed.”

Also at the MORR Banquet, Amy Demeny, Don’s wife, was named MORR Person of the  Year along with Nancy Vanden Heuvel. Amy works side by side with Don, the current MORR Vice-President, ensuring Sportsman Off-Road Racing has a viable and strong future.

As you might guess, Demeny Racing is already preparing #885 RAM truck for the upcoming five weekend, ten rounds of racing MORR Sportsman Race Schedule. Teams in the Upper Midwest will be competing exclusively on the two most iconic and legendary short-course facilities in North America, Crandon International Off-Road Raceway and Bark River Off-Road Raceway.
