The Specialty Equipment Marker Association recently announced the winners of the New Products Showcase Awards, which were held the opening morning of the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The event recognizes the most cutting-edge automotive products either on the market or about to hit the market. SEMA tells us that there were more than 2,000 new products submitted for consideration for this year’s event. We’re glad we didn’t to be the judge of who gets in and who doesn’t.

According to SEMA, the criteria that ranked high on the judges’ selection for New Product Showcase Awards included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability. Although there are a great number of categories, we’ll focus on the ones related in any way to the off-road world.
