SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — SoCal’s Team Lawrence Equipment, which fields a championship two-car team in SCORE Class 10, will be featured tonight in the SCORE spotlight during Tuesday’s Dirt LiveHD internet show at 7 p.m. (PT). Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show is airing for the from its home at the SCORE International tech shop in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

Roger Norman’s Dirt LiveHD one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 40th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air. Replays of previous Dirt LiveHD shows are kept in an electronic library on the dirtlive.com website.

Representing Team Lawrence Equipment on tonight’s Dirt LiveHD will be the father and son drivers of record Mark Lawrence, 54 and his son Mike Lawrence, 25, of Sunset Beach, Calif. With the team based in Banning, Calif., Mark Lawrence is driver of record in the team’s No. 1008 Chevy-powered Lothringer open-wheel desert race car while Mike Lawrence is driver of record in the No. 1000 Chenowth-Chevy.

Also joining Mark and Mike on tonight’s show will be family patriarch and Team Lawrence leader Johnny Lawrence, Mark’s father and Mike’s grandfather.

In their sixth season competing in the SCORE Desert Series, Mike Lawrence has won the Class 10 season point championship three times-2008, 2009 and 2012. Known for his consistency as a driver, among his SCORE Baja race wins, Mike has won Class 10 in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 three times (2009, 2012, 2013), the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 once (2009) and the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 once (2009).  Mike Lawrence has also earned two SCORE Toyota Milestone awards for completing every required mile of the particular season (2009, 2012).

In an extremely close battle this season, Team Lawrence enters November’s season-ending Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in third and fifth place in Class 10 points. Mike Lawrence, who has won win and a fifth, is third in Class 10 points with 168 championship points, just five out of first place and Mark Lawrence is in fifth place in points.

Dirt LiveHD also goes on-site live with expanded event coverage during SCORE and HDRA race weeks and will next be on-site to cover the legendary 46th Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 on Nov. 13-17 that will start and finish in Ensenada, Mexico.
