SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — Tuesday’s Dirt LiveHD SCORE spotlight will shine on third generation desert racer Jessica McMillin and veteran motorcycle racer Kirk Russell as the featured SCORE racers at 7 p.m. (PT) on the increasingly-popular internet show. Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show will air from its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

McMillin, 28, is teammate to Heidi Steele, 41, as a pair of ‘experienced rookies’ in driving the No. 14 Monster Energy Desert Assassins Chevy Silverado in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck racing division while Russell, 43, owner of a motorcycle tour company in Mexico, races as a co-rider for a variety of pro motorcycle racers in several classes over the years.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 34th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air. Replays of previous Dirt LiveHD shows are kept in an electronic library on the dirtlive.com website.

McMillin, National City, Calif., and Steele, San Clemente, Calif., have formed a formidable team in the featured SCORE Trophy Truck division and are currently in 14th place in SCORE Trophy Truck points. They finished 22nd in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 out of a field of 35 starters in SCORE Trophy Truck and 14th in the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 out of a field of 37 starters in SCORE Trophy Truck in that race. McMillin’s late grandfather Corky McMillin started the family’s significant desert racing legacy that includes other prominent desert racers in her father Scott, brother Andy, uncle Mark and cousin’s Daniel and Luke.

The 2011 SCORE Desert Series was memorable for Jessica McMillin and the McMillin family race team as she went undefeated in five races to capture the 2011 SCORE Protruck class season point championship.

Russell, of San Diego, owns the Captain Baja Adventure Tours Company that features KTM motorcycles in Baja California Sur where he is leading a solo rider motorcycle class this year. In 2011, he was one of the co-riders for the Class 21 motorcycle team of Brody Kunz that finished fourth in their class. In SCORE pro motorcycle classes, he has been a co-rider in the open Class 22 as well as Class 21 and the age-group Class 40.

Also on Tuesday night’s show, Las Vegas SCORE Trophy Truck racer and noted mechanic T.J. Flores, owner of Champion Race Works in Las Vegas, will present another special Tech Tips segment. This week Flores will take a detailed look at the front end set up for SCORE Class 1/2-1600 for 1600cc VW-powered open-wheel desert race cars.

There will also be a surprise broadcast for this week’s video of the week.

Dirt LiveHD also goes on-site live with expanded event coverage during SCORE and HDRA race weeks and will next be on-site to cover the Mirage HDRA Las Vegas 300 desert race, hosted by the Moapa Band of Paiutes on the Moapa River Indian Reservation north of Las Vegas on Sept. 27-29. The course will run entirely on the Moapa River Indian Reservation, 30 miles north of Las Vegas of off Interstate-15.
