AMA-logo-230PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Lone Star State will offer American Motorcyclist Association motocross racers a lot of competition events over the next three months, with a full district championship schedule that will qualify them for the AMA District 20/41/42 Championship at Cycle Ranch MX in Floresville, Texas, Nov. 9-10.

“Some of this country’s best motocross racing is in the great state of Texas,” said AMA Motocross Manager Kip Bigelow. “Fall provides excellent conditions for racing, and we can expect a lot of close battles not just for a state title, but to qualify for a spot on the line at the finale.”

Now in its third year, the AMA District 20/41/42 Championship will take place at Cycle Ranch MX, about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio. The final race will feature riders who qualified through AMA District Championship Series in District 41 (Northeast Texas), District 20 (Southeast Texas) and District 42 (West Texas). More information is available at www.texasmotocrossalliance.com.

“AMA District racing continues to grow in Texas, and we are excited to provide more opportunities for our racers to compete,” said Russell Hobbs, AMA-chartered promoter, Buffalo Creek MX owner and AMA District 41 Congressman. “With two years under our belts, the series qualifiers and the finale are coming into their own. We’re seeing strong turnouts and satisfied Texas motocross racers who are eager to compete against riders from other districts. We appreciate the AMA’s support in making this program a reality.”
