Dave-Mason-Jr-Lucas-oil-6-28-13Tooele, UT – Alumi Craft racers have been hugely successful in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Geoffrey Cooley, John Fitzgerald and Bradley Morris have all stood on the podium multiple times this season. At the previous rounds 7 and 8 in Tooele, Utah, John Fitzgerald added another third place finish and Geoffrey Cooley took his second win of the season.

Alumi Craft racers standing on the podium has been a common sight in the ultra-competitive Pro Buggy class but nobody has been more successful than points leader Dave Mason. His record is just plain amazing. He has been on the podium every race this season in his Competitive Metals / Mickey Thompson Tires / Alumi Craft; eight podiums in a row. His consistent finishes have kept him at the top of the championship points standings.

It all starts with a reliable car and a lot of hard work. “If I’m not at school or working, I’m prepping my car,” says Dave Mason, “I do most of the mechanical work but my Dad and my crewchief Steve Reeder help with the set-up. My dad has over 25 years racing experience; he knows how to make the suspension work and Steve has a ton of shortcourse racing experience. We can always rely on Alumi Craft too. They are at every race to help us if we need them.”

Dave Mason works hard off the track but it takes some great skills on the track to podium in eight straight races. “You need to find the balance between being aggressive and staying clean,” says Dave, “I had to push hard at Elsinore on Sunday, (round 6) to keep my podium streak alive. You want to drive smart but sometimes you have to go all out. I know when that time comes I can always count on my Alumi Craft.”

Alumi Craft racers on the track and in the desert continue to rack up impressive results.
