Mike-Johnson-Alumi-Craft-Baja-500-6-5-13Ensenada, Baja California, MX – Alumi Craft takes another victory at the Tecate SCORE Baja 500, their second Baja 500 win in a row. Alumi Craft racer Mike Johnson dominated the field of 22 class 10 cars during the grueling 500 mile race. Every Alumi Craft car that entered finished the race giving them four positions total in the top ten.

“We couldn’t be happier with our Alumi Craft chassis,” said Mike Johnson, “The package we have with Radar Tires, FOX shocks, Dave Folts Transmission and Danzio power is perfect. I have a 2008 Alumi Craft prerunner that I am really happy with. When my partner Mike Majesky and I were looking to get into class 10 we knew we wanted an Alumi Craft. I think they are well above everyone else in quality and design. I like the lightweight feel with no sacrifice in the strength department which comes from their applied knowledge of car building.”

“I drove the entire race because Mike had other commitments,” Mike said, “I started 12th and by mile 175 I was first on time and first on the road. I stopped to change my rear Radar Tires at mile 300 but we could have gone the whole way if we wanted. This course had such a variance of terrain; the sand washes, the rocky stuff by Mike’s, running on the beach and the really technical stuff by Uruapan. It was there where the nimbleness of the Alumi Craft really paid off and we were able to stretch our lead.”

Alumi Craft racers have been amassing an impressive list of wins this season at top races on the track and in the desert. In addition to Mike Johnson’s win at the Baja 500, Alumi Craft class 10 cars have won every race in the Best in the Desert series and in the HDRA series to date this season. Their record on the shortcourse tracks has been similarly successful with the latest victories coming to Luke Johnson at the TORC series race at Eldora Speedway and Bradley Morris adding another victory in round 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series in Lake Elsinore, Ca.

The key to Alumi Craft’s success is the way they build their cars. Alumi Craft uses their championship winning design philosophy coupled with impeccable craftsmanship to give you a lightweight predictable chassis that can withstand the rigors of racing out front. Time tested chassis designs are matched with the highest quality components selected to work perfectly in unison.
