Monster-Supercross-Logo-1-22-13AURORA, Ill. (May 2, 2013) – Feld Motor Sports announced today that TwoTwo Motorsports’ fundraising team is the recipient of MX for Children’s inaugural Jackpot Challenge Team Award for the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season.

The widely popular TwoTwo Motorsports team, which is owned by two-time 450SX Class Champion Chad Reed, raised nearly $12,000 for children’s hospitals in 2013. Koen McLeod, of Canada, was the highest fundraiser on the TwoTwo Motorsports team, and, as a result of his charitable efforts, he was awarded a trip to Las Vegas for the highly anticipated Monster Energy Supercross season finale at Sam Boyd Stadium.

“I have participated in MX for Children events since their inaugural fundraiser in Seattle in 2006,” said Chad Reed, owner of TwoTwo Motorsports. “I’m honored to win this Jackpot Challenge team award because I think it is so great to see my young fans getting out raising money to help sick kids.”

The Jackpot Challenge provided Monster Energy Supercross fans in North America the chance to donate to local children’s hospitals through MX for Children fund raising activities in honor of participating teams, which included:  Honda Muscle Milk, BTO Sports – KTM, Monster Energy Kawasaki, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, Rockstar Energy Racing, and TwoTwo Motorsports. Monster Energy Kawasaki fundraisers came in second with Rockstar Energy Racing rounding out Jackpot Challenge Team podium.

“Our initial Jackpot Challenge Team results exceeded our expectations,” said Paul Gross, founder of MX for Children.  “Riders on the participating teams, such as Reed, Trey Canard and Matt Georke each took the time to personally support our activities throughout the Monster Energy Supercross season. We’re very, very appreciative of all the team’s support.”

Funds raised in the 2013 Jackpot Challenge directly supported the following children’s hospitals: Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Houston’s Texas Children’s, Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital, Salt Lake City’s Primary Children’s, Seattle Children’s, St. Louis Children’s, and Toronto’s SickKids. Funds raised were directed towards supporting each hospital’s research to improve treatments for hydrocephalus – the #1 cause of brain surgery for children.
