SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — Now airing in High Definition, Southern California champion SCORE desert racers Martin Christensen and Kendall Norman will be the spotlight guests on Roger Norman’s Dirt LiveHD weekly Internet broadcast Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time. Airing on www.score-international.com, the show will air from its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in San Diego.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 16th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air.

Dirt Live also goes live with expanded event coverage during SCORE and HDRA race weekends and most recently broadcast four days of coverage from the 27th Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 from San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in March and three weeks ago, Dirt Live race coverage emanated live from the King Shocks HDRA 250 in Ridgecrest, Calif.

SCORE is planning even more enhanced coverage, all in High Definition, at the upcoming 45th Tecate SCORE Baja California in Ensenada, Mexico. Being held May 30-June 2, the event will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of SCORE International, which started on July 26, 1974 with the Tecate SCORE Baja 500.

Christensen, 44, originally from Denmark but living in Escondido, Calif., races as the second driver with Germany’s Armin Schwarz in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck division while Norman, 28, of Gaviota, Calif., races on a motorcycle in Class 22 for open motorcycles.

Christensen and Schwarz share driving duties in the No. 15 BMW XJ-6, the first BMW-powered vehicle to race in the featured SCORE Trophy Truck division. The truck was built by Jimco with the engine developed by Danzio Performance.  In the season opener in San Felipe, they finished 20th out of 35 starters.

Christensen is a veteran SCORE desert racer with three season class point championships in 1998 (Class 9), 2002 and 2003 (both in Class 10).  He has raced and won races in several classes, including in the unlimited Class 1 with Schwarz, a veteran of over 100 World Rally Championship races.

In SCORE Baja races, Christensen has five career class wins, including three in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 and one each in the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 and the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

Norman, who rode for several years for the factory-supported Johnny Campbell Racing team, is in his second season as the top independent rider in SCORE desert racing.  With JCR Honda, Norman was part of five SCORE season class point championship teams in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

In his career, Norman has been part of 14 class-winning teams in SCORE Baja races with six class wins in the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, five in the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 and three in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250.

Besides Christensen and Norman, other guests scheduled this week along show host George Antill are SCORE’s Roger Norman with his ‘pit stop’ segment along with the regular Tech Tips segment which this week will feature SCORE co-tech director Jake Velasco. The Dirt Live video of the week will also be shown.
