AURORA, Ill. – GoPro, the world’s most versatile camera, has extended its involvement with Feld Motor Sports® by becoming the Official and Exclusive Sports Camera of AMSOIL Arenacross, featuring Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross. The growing company will partner with AMSOIL Arenacross for the first time in 2013 and its sponsorship initiatives are already in full effect at all rounds of the championship.

During each unprecedented SPEED broadcast of AMSOIL Arenacross, fans at home will enjoy the “The GoPro Track Preview,” a rider’s perspective of each track, captured with GoPro’s brand new HERO3 camera mounted to the riders’ chest or helmet. This immersive experience gives fans a feel for what it’s like to be a professional arenacross racer, navigating the technical obstacles while maintaining high speed. The GoPro Track Preview airs during each AMSOIL Arenacross broadcast on SPEED during the entire 2013 season.

“The GoPro brand is a perfect match for AMSOIL Arenacross. There are many exciting new programs with AMSOIL Arenacross and this relationship with GoPro is one of them,” said Ken Hudgens, Chief Operating Officer, Feld Motor Sports. “After establishing a strong relationship with GoPro in Monster Energy Supercross, we are glad to see their commitment to this great sport grow to include AMSOIL Arenacross. The HERO3 is the most technologically advanced, versatile, and durable camera that produces many of the most thrilling videos seen in all sports. We are very pleased to begin this relationship and look forward to creating a great experience for our fans.”

During the season, many AMSOIL Arenacross riders in both the Arenacross Class and Arenacross Lites Class will wear GoPro’s HERO3 cameras to capture race footage from the rider’s perspective. These one-of-a-kind videos will be available for viewing through GoPro’s exclusive social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages in addition to the official GoPro website at GoPro.com.

“AMSOIL Arenacross is the breeding ground for some of the sports youngest and most talented riders and features some of the most physically demanding and competitive motorcycle racing on the planet with its technical obstacles, tight layouts, and incredible speed,” said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro’s founder and CEO. “There isn’t a better way to showcase the excitement of an arenacross race to fans watching at home and online than to capture and share it from the riders’ perspective with a GoPro camera. We are so excited to partner with AMSOIL Arenacross and the riders to capture it all in stunning GoPro video. It’s going to be awesome to watch these guys attack the track and hopefully it inspires amateur riders to rock a GoPro and capture their own HERO moments while charging their own favorite tracks.”

GoPro’s HD HERO cameras are used by more consumers, athletes, and professional production crews around the world than any other camera of its kind. The HD HERO line of cameras is both the top selling wearable, mountable sports camera in consumer markets as well as the top selling camera of its kind to Hollywood for film and TV productions where an “easy to mount anywhere” professional HD camera is needed. GoPro’s success is best illustrated by the number of TV shows airing on Discovery Channel, National Geographic, CNN, CBS, BBC, Versus, FuelTV, SPEED, and more that feature footage captured with HD HERO cameras.

Starting at $199, the HERO3 camera can be found at your favorite motorcycle accessory dealer, Cycle Gear, Yamaha dealer, or online at www.gopro.com.
