Escanaba, MI (September 20, 2012) -The 2012 TORC race season saw an epic battle for the Super Stock Truck Championship that saw Upper Michigan’s Danny Beauchamp take home the title after sweeping the final weekend of racing at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway. The win on Saturday also gave him the title of World Champion and the win in Sunday’s final race of the season saw the twenty-eight year old clinch the TORC Championship.

The 10-race season didn’t start off as well as the team hoped, as the team missed finishing on the podium in the first three rounds of racing, but the Sunday race at Spring Crandon saw the Mole Lake Casino/Bach Mobilities Inc./Hilltop RV sponsored Ford F-150 finish second after a great battle with race winner Nick Byng.

The final seven races saw the #826 Super Stock Truck finish no worse than second place. In fact, Beauchamp collected four runner-up finishes and three victories on his way to the TORC Super Stock Championship. Even with the string of podium finishes, the championship title went right down to the final race.

“This class is always tough,” remarked Danny Beauchamp. “I mean there were five different winners this year, and heading into Fall Crandon, four drivers still had a shot at the title. Heck four different drivers held the top spot in the points throughout the season. I can’t say thanks enough to my crew, these guys worked day and night all season long, always looking for ways to make our truck stronger and faster. We now are World Champions. This is really cool.”

Danny Beauchamp and his team would like to thank all the companies that made this championship possible, including:

Mole Lake Casino & Lodge, Bach Mobilities Inc., Hilltop RV Superstore, UPCARS.com, Coplan Iron & Metal, Northern Screen Printing, Pike Distributing, B & D Transmission, JC Welding, Splash of Color, Gary’s Collision, JC Mobil Wash, Benoit Glass & Lock, AJ & Cale Schroeder, BFGoodrich Tires, Fox Shox, and Ford trucks.

A special thanks also goes out to TORC, MORR, Crandon, Bark River, Red Bud MX and Antigo for their support of Sportsman short-course off-road racing.
