Freehold, NJ (September 6, 2012) – After a roller coaster ride of a season, Bob Klaus was looking to end the season on a high note. Finishing well both days would secure second place in the championship and give Bob and his crew chief Tim Craley some satisfaction for their perseverance during the 2012 TORC season.

Friday afternoon saw the Racer Engineering built #26 BFGoodrich Tire equipped Toyota powered PRO Buggy qualify fourth fastest among the thirteen racers that made the trip to Crandon International Off-Road Raceway.

The 1.6 mile long Crandon track had a few new elements added to its layout. The front straightaway jumps were replaced with two table top jumps and a downhill jump was incorporated into the skybox back stretch.

The start of Saturday’s Round 11 action had Klaus move to the head of the field by the the end of the first lap. The nine lap event saw the #26 BFGoodrich Tire PRO Buggy dominate the entire race. At the finish Bob Klaus was over five seconds ahead of the second place finisher. The win gave Bob Klaus his first World Championship ring!

“We didn’t have the right tire combination for the landrush start,” noted Bob Klaus. “Once we were racing, the BFGoodrich Tires came in great and were the key to winning today.”

Sunday was the final race of the TORC PRO Buggy season and Bob Klaus was looking for back to back wins. This time the black #26 PRO Buggy led the field coming out of Turn One. Early on the AWD Buggy of John Frana applied some pressure for the top spot, but the New Jersey native kept cool to stay at the front of the field. The second half of the race was uneventful as Bob Klaus led the rest of the field by over eight seconds when the checkered flag was waved.

“Can you believe it, two in a row!” exclaimed Bob Klaus. “I’ve never won two in a row ever in my racing career. We’ve had an up and down season due to an intermittent engine problem, but it looks like we finally have it solved. Thanks goes out to my crew chief Tim Craley, without him this weekend would not happen. I know if we could have figured out this engine problem earlier in the season, we could have really challenged Mitchell for the championship. Second place for the year isn’t too bad either!”

Bob Klaus would like to thank his contingency sponsors:
BFGoodrich Tires, Allstar Performance, RacerX , PAC Springs, Howe Power Steering, R2C Performance, McKenzies and CVC Incentives.
