OK, this one is obvious, but it’s not so much a reminder to bring food, but more so a reminder of what food to bring!

When heading out for a weekend on the trail, it’s good to bring along perishable items to cook. Just make sure you also bring non-perishable items as well, such as trail mix, canned food or even MREs (Meal, Ready to Eat).

Fruit, meat and bread are all great things to take camping, and a cooler can help keep it fresh for a few days, but always have a backup plan in case the perishable food spoils.
