In 2010, Chad was poised to win the SuperLite Championship, but a single race knocked him into runner-up position. This
year, with the same fierce competition beating at his door, Chad has a burning desire to complete the mission. Chad commented, “We’ve be SO competitive in the Kawasaki/Yokohama/Lazer Star Superlite this year, everything has fallen into place, and there’s nothing more that I want than to bring this championship to my sponsors and hard working Funco team.”

With a championship driving performance in his very first weekend of ProLite Unlimited, Chad displayed stellar results at Round 14 in Las Vegas, just missing the podium on Sunday’s race with a 5th place finish. Yep, Chad George is out to prove that the ProLite class is where he plans to stay, and has already made a BIG statement. After a few tweaks and tunes, Saturday’s final Round 15 at Firebird Raceway race should prove to provide some spectacular racing as Chad will seek his very first win before the stomping crowds in the #42 Abu Dhabi Unlimited/Bull BBQ/Traxxas V-8 powered machine.

Shifting gears into his #1 Monster Energy Kawasaki UTV, the reigning champ will need to pedal-down the C&G powered V-twin at a chance for another win, and most of all his 5TH CONSECUTIVE UTV CHAMPIONSHIP. With only a narrow gap between the top three points runners, Chad will need to bring his A+ driving, and have some good luck on his side.  “Chad commented, “It would be a miracle if the current points leader didn’t start the race, it would give us our last chance at our 5th title, but all we can do is worry about winning, and let luck do the rest.”

In addition to Chad’s powerhouse weekend, the Funco stable will launch Chad’s cousin, 21 year old Garrett George, onto the Pro Buggy scene. Having multiple finishes and success in the Pro Buggy during the Lucas Oil Regional series, the team decided that now is the time to rub wheels in the “big time.” It’s no doubt that Garrett’s blood line has checkered flags flowing through it, as the son of a multi-time short course champion, Greg George, Garrett has the heritage, the talent and machinery to win; watch him fly high in the Funco Pro Buggy throughout 2012.
