Irvine, CA (October 14, 2011) – A perfect season in motorsports is rare and in the unpredictable world of GEICO AMA EnduroCross, it seems even more unlikely. But KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak has won all five events of the 2011 series heading into round six in Boise, Idaho next weekend, which is leading many to predict that he can pull it off. Blazusiak is downplaying the perfect season stating that “The championship is the most important thing for me so I don’t think about the possibility of winning every race”. But when you watch the way he attacks the track right from the gate drop, it is easy to see why he has become so dominant.

Blazusiak has an unlikely mix of Trials skills and Motocross type aggression that rivals his teammate Mike Brown, who is known to be one of the most aggressive riders of all time. Five years ago, Blazusiak was competing in the Trials World Championship when he decided to attend the infamous Erzberg Enduro with some friends. He caught the eye of the KTM Factory team during qualification and an impromptu “EnduroCross” type event and they offered him a bike to race, which he went out and won. Later that same year, he came over to Las Vegas for the EnduroCross finals and beat David Knight in a heads up battle and has been almost unstoppable ever since. Blazusiak has now won five consecutive Erzeberg Enduro’s and is the two time defending champion in GEICO AMA EnduroCross, presented by Lucas Oil. With five out of eight main event wins in the bag already, he will head to Boise, Idaho next weekend and “Focus on the Championship” but you can be sure that when the gate drops, he will be going for the win.

Speaking of the Championship, Blazusiak could clinch the title early in Boise if he gains 13 or more points on Brown. A win by Blazusiak and forth position or worse for Brown would clinch the title early even with two main events with full points planned for the Las Vegas finals.

For all EnduroCross events, the pit area is open for free all day so it is great opportunity to meet the top riders up close to get autographs and check out their bikes. The arena is also open for free during the daytime qualifiers that get started at 10:00 am as well as for the Expert practice and qualifying laps that take place during the midafternoon. So it is certainly worth coming out early for a full day of action.

Tickets available at Carl’s Cycle Sales, Grizzly Motorsports, Moto Tech, Birds of Prey, ICtickets and www.EnduroCross.com.
