Fallbrook CA –Dustin Nelson (#94) overalls both Rounds 5 & 6 in the Quad X series held at Glen Helen Raceway. Beau Baron (#549) breaks Nelson’s Moto win streak with 1st Moto win of the season.

Round #5 and #6 of the Quad X series was held at the famous Glen Helen Raceway July 9th and 10th in Devore, California.  The Glen Helen racetrack is one of the roughest and toughest tracks on the west coast.  Known for its treacherous square edge holes, sandy soil, acceleration and deceleration bumps, and huge jumps; suspension setup is key to winning at the Glen.

Round 5 – Dustin Nelson and Beau Baron would continue their 2011 QuadX battle for the top 2 spots throughout the weekend.  In Moto 1 on Saturday, Baron grabbed the holeshot and never looked back, to take his first Quad X moto win of the season.  With this win, Beau would break the streak of Nelson’s undefeated Moto wins through the first 4 rounds of the Quad X series this year.  Moto 2 would once again play out with Baron and Nelson once again banging bars early on.  Dustin Nelson grabbed the win and the Overall for round 5 on Saturday with a 2-1 finish to make it 5 for 5 overall wins for the season so far.    Roll Design / Elka dominated the podium at round 5 with Nelsons Yamaha teammate Josh Row in the 3rd place spot overall  with a 5-3 overall.  Garrin Fuller also took 1st in the Pro Am class.

Round 6 – The double header weekend continued on Sunday for Round 6.  Dustin Nelson’s and Beau Baron would once again put a show on for the fans as the top ran an all out Moto 1 and Moto 2 as if they were the only 2 riders on the track.  Nelson took Moto 1 without question and Moto 2 saw Baron grab his second holeshot for the weekend.  Nelson found an opening right away and took advantage of it, to once again put in a perfect 2 Motos with a 1-1 win taking the overall for Round 6, while Baron went 2-2 claiming the second spot.  Sunday it was Barons Teammate MCR/Roll Design/Elka rider David Haagsma who was 3rd fastest for the 3rd spot on the podium with a 3-3 finish and Josh Row was consistently fast all weekend and taking 4th on Sunday with a 4-4 for the motos.  This gives Roll Design and Elka the entire Pro podium for the entire double header weekend, not to forget Duncan Racings Garrin Fuller also continued his hold on the top spot in the Pro-Am division, giving him top billing for the Pro Am racers all weekend.

The Roll Design / Elka combo once again displayed its superior quality and stability in one of the roughest tracks in the west coast [Glen Helen Raceway].  The top spots for both Round 5 and 6 of the Yamaha Quad X in the Pro and Pro – Am Classes were equipped with Roll Design A-Arms, Steering components and Elka Shocks.
