TheWorld of Adventure Sports  will air on Sunday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT, featuring, among other things, footage from the Rallycross race at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The next episode will feature:

·       Stand Up World Tour: The Stand Up World Tour was established in 2009 to address the exponential growth in the sport of Stand Up Paddling, and to provide its premier athletes with an international platform on which to compete for the prestigious and official World Championship Title. Focusing on the most visually dynamic element of the sport, surfing, the goal of creating the Stand Up World Tour has been to showcase the sport, its heritage and development, together with its athletes and their collective and colorful stories to the world via the ever increasing forms of global media.

·       Rallycross from the New Jersey Motorsports Park:  The action-sport of auto racing, Rallycross is a blend of circuit racing, off-road racing and rally competition. Five drivers line up to start at once, piloting high-horsepower compact cars through race traffic over a challenging short course that features jumps, unbanked turns, hills and transitions between pavement and gravel. Debuting at X Games 16 under the name “SuperRally”, the Final Round of the U.S. Rallycross Championship concluded at New Jersey Motorsports Park pitting experienced European teams against America’s best drivers for rallycross dominance. This segment features action sport icon, Travis Pastrana (his last race to date with the Subaru Rally Team USA before joining NASCAR), BMX legend Dave Mirra, Formula DRIFT’s Rhys Millen, and BBC’s Top Gear TV host Tanner Foust.

·       Double or Nothing Wake with Parks Bonifay:  This past October Parks Bonifay and other leading wakeboarders descended on Orlando, Florida, USA, for the inaugural Double or Nothing event. Created as a one of a kind Double Up contest that lets riders choose their own driver and have 15 minutes on the water to stick their best trick. The riders all judge each other from video footage from the event creating a unique format where subjective judging is unquestioned.

·       Red Bull Cold Rush: Red Bull Cold Rush, a progressive backcountry freeskiing competition, descended upon Silverton Mountain in Colorado for the first time in the event’s four year history in March of 2010. Sixteen of the world’s best skiers will compete in three disciplines – Slopestyle, Big Mountain, and Cliffs – vying for the title of the most versatile and best all-around skier, as judged by the athletes themselves. With only one chairlift, no grooming, and loads of bowls, chutes, cliffs and natural terrain, this mountain is sure to challenge even the most skilled skiers.
