As the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) shifts into high gear for Rounds 3 and 4 this weekend at Speedworld Off Road Park on April 16th and 17th, Pro Lite driver Jimmy Stephensen has his sights set firmly on the top of the podium.  The Ironclad Energy + Hydration / Discount Tire Nissan driver has plenty of momentum behind him coming into Surprise, Arizona after two podium finishes in as many races this season.  “The competition was fierce at the season opener in Firebird, and there are a lot of new trucks and drivers to contend with,” Stephensen confessed. “With Deegan, Brandt, Ampudia, Currie, Cameron Steele, and Kyle Leduc all running in Pro Lite this year I feel ecstatic to be on the podium both days.”

The strong finishes at Firebird put the talented Stephensen in second place in season championship points in the highly competitive Pro Lite Unlimited class, just five points behind the leader.  “We made my nearly ten year old truck as new as possible in the off season with the help of Bruce Fraley and Kevin Avina, amongst others.  We proved that we can run with the best of the best!”
Jimmy Stephensen, 2009 LOORS Rookie of the Year, had one second place finish and set the fast lap in the Pro Lite class at Speedworld Off Road Park last season, so it is not unreasonable to believe that he will pull off his first Pro Lite victory at Speedworld next weekend in the No. 33 Ironclad Energy + Hydration / Discount Tire Nissan.  “The class restrictions in Pro Lite make for really close racing, so it is a great opportunity to showcase my driving skills,” Stephensen explains.  “Of course my Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S tires do give me an advantage over the competition,” he is quick to add with a sly grin.  Stephensen finished sixth in series points in Pro Lite in 2010 amongst a field of 24 talented drivers.  In addition to his second place finish at Speedworld last season, he also had a third place finish at Miller Motorsports Park and was on the podium twice in his hometown of Las Vegas in 2010.
