Fort Mill, SC – The General Tire Miss Mint 400 competition is back for its 3rd consecutive year. General Tire is turning up the heat for the 2011 Mint 400 race by kicking off the event with the Miss Mint 400 competition which started on Feb 28, 2011.

Girls from across the country compete for the Miss Mint 400 crown, which brings with it the prestigious Miss Mint title, a prize package, national exposure and a General Tire photo shoot. Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Miss Mint 400? The contest is open to women 21-years-of-age and older who are legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia (void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and U.S. territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico, and where prohibited).

The contest starts now through March 15. To participate, entrants must upload two photos of themselves to www.generaltire.com, one head shot and one full-body shot. The top 10 women with the highest scores on March 15 will make it to the second round of competition. From there, only three women will move on to the final round. Each of the finalists will attend the Miss Mint 400 crowning ceremony on Thursday March 24th and that evening, the 2011 Miss Mint 400 will be crowned. The winner will receive three nights of hotel accommodations in Las Vegas, $1,500 and she will also have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to model in a General Tire photo shoot.

“The Miss Mint 400 contest has definitely added excitement around the SNORE General Tire Mint 400 race,” said Dana Zamalloa, Marketing, PR and Communications Manager, General Tire. “Last year we had a record-high number of votes and I am anticipating that the competition will be even hotter for 2011.”
