INDIANAPOLIS (February 14, 2011) – Dealer Expo, the world’s largest business only powersports trade show, has partnered with Poway, Calif.-based National Powersport Auctions (NPA) to operate NPA’s Dealer Expo Auction, a live powersports vehicle auction set to take place at the 2011 Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo for the first time ever on Saturday, February 19, at 3:30 p.m., at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The pre-owned market has been growing rapidly in recent years as dealers adapt to changing economic and market conditions, and adjust vehicle sales and inventories to reflect those changes. The live auction at the 2011 Dealer Expo will give registered dealer attendees the opportunity to bid on a minimum of 100 units sourced from a variety of NPA’s business partners.

As a result of this new partnership, Dealer Expo attendees and exhibitors will benefit from NPA’s 21 years of experience in the wholesale vehicle business. NPA provides its auction attendees with access to easy transportation, attractive vehicle financing options and access to the highest quality pre-owned vehicles in the market, leading to more profit opportunities for dealers. NPA will conduct an educational seminar on the pre-owned market and a clinic on how to effectively participate in an auction at Dealer Expo. The main auction will be preceded by a “mock auction” at 3:00 p.m. to enable new participants to get a feel for the auction process.

“We’re very excited to have NPA join Dealer Expo,” said Advanstar Communications Powersports Group Brand Director Kerry Graeber. “Integrating a live National Powersports Auction into the weekend provides another layer of value to our show attendees. NPA’s commitment to helping dealers develop more profit opportunities blends very well with the strategy behind Dealer Expo. The educational programs provided by NPA help round out the training programs we’ve put together for dealers as part of our new Learning Experience.

“NPA is constantly striving to do a better job of educating dealers on the pre-owned segment and how to acquire pre-owned bikes,” said National Powersport Auctions Principal Justyn Amstutz. “To host a live auction and related educational seminars at Dealer Expo, the largest trade show in the market, was something we’ve had on our radar for quite a while. We are really excited to bring the auction to the show this year and for many years to come.”
