Chrysler is no stranger to organizing events that allow everyday people to show up and actually test their Jeep vehicles off road, and the Jeep Rocks & Rock Tour will offer that opportunity again in 2010. The Rocks & Road Tour will travel to 11 different venues across the United States from July 16 to October 31, offering the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Jeep and actually drive it in an off-road environment.

As Jeep explains, “The Jeeps rocks & Road Tour 2010 enables you to test-drive a Jeep on a variety of terrain, including an exclusive off-road course.” Each event will incorporate a variety of on- and off-road driving tests, allowing participants to test-drive 2011 Jeep models such as the Wrangler, Patriot and new Grand Cherokee. Trained instructors will be on hand for the off-road sections, which will including multiple types of road surfaces, rocky trails and log crossings. In addition to sampling the latest Jeep offerings, owners of existing models will also get a chance to drive their own vehicles at these events in the ‘Jeep Owner’s playground.’

The tour kicked off at the Syracuse, New York Nationals on July 16th, made a stop at Columbus, Ohio, and now travels to Rockford, Illinois; Indianapolis; Boston; Omaha, Nebraska; Martinsburg, West Virginia; Virginia Beach; Fayetteville, Arkansas; Charlotte, North Carolina and Fort Worth, Texas. Jeep CEO Mike Manley says the idea is “To provide our current and potential customers with an adventurous experience that is exclusive to the Jeep brand.”

The Jeep Rocks & Road tour is free to those that pre-register for the event. Check out the link below for more information.
