The Red Bull Romaniacs 2010 race concluded last month with Chris Birch taking the win. The rally, which has been running since 2004 and spans over five days, is considered to be one of the toughest off-road dirt bike races in the world. Less than half of the 165 competitors finished the race that traveled through the Romanian Karpates. In the Pro-Class, only 10 riders from 7 nations out of 21 crossed the finish line at the medieval centre of Sibiu.

The event organizer Martin Freinademetz put together a difficult course than ran through the Romanian forests, and heavy rain all made the event even more difficult. Red Bull posted a cool interview and riding video with event winner Chris Birch, who talks about how he got his start riding motorcycles and then takes a ride through some winding private forest trails West Auckland, New Zealand. It takes a few second to load, but it’s worth it. Check it out.
