At the fifth round of The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series at Bark River, Wisconsin, John Frana made history by being the first driver to pilot a four-wheel-drive buggy to a short-course win.

Frana, who says he started the project to build an all-wheel-drive buggy back in 2004, took the #907 Super Buggy to the win at Round 5 in the Sportsman class. As Frana notes, this is actually the second all-wheel-drive vehicle built at RCV Performance Products.

The video below is an interview with Frana about his race, his vehicle, and some of the details about what went into the project. Although the production quality isn’t the best, it is interesting info about Frana’s journey to earn the historic win … and there is action footage of the race win later in the video.
