Feb. 28, 2009 By Press Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 13, 2009 – Delivering an aggressive stance, improved ground clearance and more to the popular UTV, Rancho® has announced the release of a high-performance suspension system for 2004-07 and 2008-09 Yamaha Rhino vehicles.

One of the world’s most recognized brands of off-road suspension components and accessories, Rancho is manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN). Rancho headquarters are in Long Beach, Calif.

Available through thousands of off-road performance retailers nationwide, the new Rancho system (p/n RS10001 for 2004-07 models, p/n RS10011 for 2008-09 models) features several engineering enhancements to make the system ideal for virtually any terrain, including desert, dune or off-road trails.

The Rancho Rhino long-travel suspension system increases the A-arm width by four inches on each side and increases the wheelbase by two inches to the front and rear. The system provides 11-inches of wheel travel with no body modification.

The system features billet 6061 aluminum upper control 4-in. A-arms with contrast machining, HSLA steel lower control arms, exclusive self-lubricating control arm bushings, and high-strength tie rod ends and inner tie rod. The system also includes adjustable front camber. Rancho utilizes high-strength rod ends and uniball in the system, and includes front and rear axle shafts and front and rear frame stiffeners.

At the core of the Rancho suspension system are the brand’s world-renowned Rancho® RS9000XL™ Pro Series Coil-Over Shocks, a race-proven, highly engineered shock design that has been custom engineered for popular UTV models. Delivering the ultimate combination of convenience and performance, Rancho includes the front and rear shocks in the suspension upgrade kit.

Each Rancho RS9000XL Pro Series UTV shock is individually valved per application and includes a Rancho-exclusive high-performance self-lubricating replaceable composite bearing, anodized aluminum reservoir with stainless steel braided hose, a 16-mm piston rod, a 1.375-in. diameter piston and custom-rate Eibach® coil spring.

Stock replacements are available for the 2004-09 Rhino models (front shock p/n RS19603-1; rear shock p/n RS19604-1) and long travel shock replacements are also available for 2004-09 Rhino models (front shock p/n RS19601-1; rear shock p/n RS19602-1).
