Arctic Cat Releases 2012 ATV and UTV Models

Jun. 22, 2011 By Off-Road.com Staff
Arctic Cat recently unveiled its 2012 ATV and side-by-side offerings by revealing its two new models for the coming year and more than a dozen vehicles returning with no major changes from 2011.

In 2012, Arctic Cat is focusing on option packages, including the GT and LTD packages. ATVs or side-by-sides with the GT option package come with painted bodywork, aluminum wheels and electronic power steering. The LTD package offers consumers a little more, as it includes the aforementioned pieces in the GT package as well as heavy-duty front and rear bumpers and a 3,000-pound winch.

The 2012 Arctic Cat 700i MudPro LTD

A good example of these new package options is the new for 2012 Arctic Cat 700i MudPro LTD. Buyers can choose between the base 700i MudPro (a returning model from 2011) and the LTD version with its extra options ideal for heavy mud riding. The 700i MudPro LTD is available in two color options of Green or Orange painted bodywork, and it also features massive 28-inch Zilla tires mounted to 14-inch aluminum wheels.

The 2012 Prowler 700i HDX

Arctic Cat’s second new offering for 2012 is the Prowler 700i HDX. Although this vehicle doesn’t benefit from the new GT or LTD option packages, the 700i HDX has been given a new round tube surround frame for 2012. It’s available in Dark Green or Tungsten Metallic painted bodywork, as well as Advantage Timber camouflage.

As for the rest of the Arctic Cat ATV and Prowler lineup, a number of vehicles are returning to the lineup for 2012. One-person machines coming back include the 450i, 550i, 700i and 1000i, while two-up vehicles such as the TRV 450i, TRV 550i and TRV 700i also return. In the 2012 Prowler lineup are the Prowler 700i XTX and Prowler 1000 XTZ.

More Down the Line?
Arctic Cat doesn’t tend to unveil its entire lineup all at once, and this year we're told is no exception. A second wave of 2012 models is expected to be released in August. Maybe another new Prowler? We’ll have to wait and see.
