2002 Artic Cat Lineup -375 Models - Off-Road.com's SportQuad.com

Oct. 01, 2005 By ORC STAFF

The class favorite just got better. The 300 4x4 and 300 2x4 from Arctic Cat. The machines known for offering buyers an abundance of best-in-class features not found on other brands. For 2002, buyers can expect much of the same again. Times ten.
For starters, their hauling capacity doesn't just beat machines in their own class, but some of the biggest made, all while retaining their nimble characteristics making the machines a pleasure to ride. Rack Capacity? It's increased also, making it best-in-class with 100 lb. front rack capacity and 200 lb. rear rack capacity.
Their appeal however won't be limited to their extensive advantages owners have come to expect from Arctic Cat. Both 300 machines will get new curb appeal in 2002 as well, complete with all new styling including front fascia, fender flares (300 4x4), new dual bulb halogen headlights, and a new shade of green.
Placed in a tough utility frame, the single cylinder 280cc engine featured in the Arctic Cat 300s are air/oil cooled with Keihin carburetors. The smooth, 5-speed auto-clutch transmission has reverse and standard Hi-Lo range. The 300 4x4 also sports a super-low gear and its selectable 2WD-4WD transmission lets you shift into 2WD to reduce steering effort or into 4WD for maximum traction.
Fully independent double A-arm front and rear suspension create 6.5 inches of travel, allowing for a smoother ride and better tire contact. No more cringing when you slide over obstacles with your Arctic Cat either as the full-length plastic skid plate allows you to escape without damage.
Moving you down the trail is Arctic Cat's exclusive rocker shifter, a consumer favorite that allows smooth heel-toe shifting along with the comfort and protection that only full floorboards can provide. Superior stopping power is provided by front and rear hydraulic disc brakes operated by a single-lever control featuring an integrated brake lock. They're low maintenance too, requiring zero adjustment.
Full instrumentation completes these dynamos including gas gauge, gear position indicator lights, and speedometer with resettable tripometer - the same instrumentation as on our biggest machines. Value that you'll find hard to match.
